A Uvalde man was arrested in Eagle Pass for physically assaulting his common law wife off of El Indio Highway and TX Loop 480.

At approximately 2:00 a.m. US Border Patrol saw a woman walking along the road and stopped her, said Maverick County Sheriff Tom Schmerber. The woman said that she and her husband had gotten into an argument, during which he slammed her into the window before pushing her out of the vehicle.
